Let's start with some facts

Shall we dive in?

Nicknamed the “Guard with the Balloon Dog”, this artwork was discovered in May 2010 on the wall of the previous site’s occupant, the Workmen’s Compensation Board (WCB) Building. The graffiti was attributed to Banksy, along with a few others found around the same time scattered throughout the city. When the WCB building was demolished in 2011 to make way for the Harbour Plaza complex, the developer, Menkes, carefully removed the graffiti from its position (they literally carved out a piece of the wall), restored it and put it in storage until February 2017 when it was installed in its current spot.

The piece is on display on the second floor Path access to the One York office building beside the escalator to the “Harbour East/Mercatino” food court.
