In a nutshell

Perched high between two arms of the Don River, Flemingdon Park is a predominantly residential community of high rises. Eglinton Avenue serves as a divide between the south where all dwellings are clustered and the north mostly garnered by commercial lots. Construction and new condo developments are common place these days as this part of town prepares for the impending arrival of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT (line 5) in late 2021.

The area has traditionally been welcoming of immigrants contributing to its multicultural character. Islamic culture and art are celebrated at the Ismaili Centre mosque and adjacent Aga Khan Museum where guests can contemplate centuries-old artifacts.

Meanwhile at the neighbourhood's western border, the Ontario Science Centre showcases science and innovation in an interactive fashion for all family members to enjoy.

Downhill, wanderers can relax in E.T. Seton Park on the banks of the West Don River or follow the meandering river's course to the railway trestle bridge and perhaps further north to Edwards Gardens.
